This year we decided to do something different and head over to Westgate Rodeo & Dude Ranch, instead of hosting dinner.
I bought hats, boots and plaid shirts for everyone. We were ready to grab the bull by the horns ๐ Here’s some of our highlights.

Although we had a great time at the Resort, we had to cut it short as Reagan hit the nightstand in the middle of the night and woke us up with a bloody face. We had to checkout and rush to the nearest hospital at 5 am to get her stitched. Needless to say I went into shock and David had to rescue us all.
Due to her accident, we were unable to do the horseback riding (the activity was scheduled for that morning), attend the Rodeo or trap shooting. We will go back and do all of the above but for now, we are thankful her cut was not 0.5″ lower or it would have damaged her sight.
If you visit this resort, DO rent a golf cart for your entire stay. DO bring food and drinks as the restaurant is more like a diner. Although it sounds like they have another restaurant opening up this winter. The villas have kitchens and outdoor BBQs to grill your steaks. DO buy cowboy boots as the Saloon allows children and they love to line dance. DO sign-up for the activities they offer, such as the Escape Room (that was my kids fave).
DO NOT rely on their restaurant for all of your meals. DO NOT drive your car around as they have one too many kids on their bicycles and running around. And last but not least, DO NOT book the glamping option if you are not in the mood to walk half a mile to visit the restroom in the middle of the night ๐
