We all know you can do so much with a pillsbury can of biscuits, but this is the recipe I make the most. Plain for breakfast, brunch or simply when we are having an afternoon coffee and need a “snack” to go with it. Sweet ones for dessert or afternoon treat for the kids, since they are so easy and quick to make.
Any type of biscuit will do: flaky, buttermilk, southern, layers, etc. The Southern Style are great to make strawberry shortcakes but all I had today was flaky layers. Still delicious!
I use a kids cough syrup measuring cup to make smaller biscuits. Bake them for about 8-10 minutes or until golden. For the plain ones, that’s it! Serve warm with butter and jam.
For the dessert/shortcake ones, let them cool off for a bit before splitting them in half. Add homemade whipped cream or homemade heavy cream, your choice of fruit, and sprinkle with powder sugar. Voila! Enjoy.

Enjoy!
