This room used to be one of my favorites, pre-renovation. We enjoyed sitting on those sofas with a glass of wine while contemplating life. Eventually we grew tired of the transitional look and wanted something that fitted our personality better. I have always been a big fan of Contemporary and Mid-Century Modern but always thought it was an expensive look to pull off. One day we ripped the shiplap, torn walls down, got rid of the travertine and built the look we always had in mind. Until then, this piano room was one of our favorite places to discuss schools, kids routines, travel, you name it.
