This was my 2013 Christmas Eve dinner table. My daughter was only 5.5 months and because of it, this table took almost an entire day to set it up. Nothing like having a baby in your arms when setting a table for 30 people 😉
I already had the golden chargers but bought the plates and wine glasses at the Dollar store [for $1 each]! I bought the napkins in bulk on eBay, candy canes also from the dollar store and a long plastic garland from AC Moore. I pulled small pieces from the plastic garland and used it for a DIY napkin ring. As you can see above, I wrapped the garland and candy cane with a red and white thread, along with a name tag [also from AC Moore].
Because I already had the chargers, I was able to set this entire table for under $100!!.
For the entryway, I wanted to greet the ladies with a glass of [rose] champagne and make it holiday special. I used my son’s easel to relay the message, wrapped plastic garland around the flute and placed a candy cane on the edge to give that full Holiday spirit to the welcoming drink. I hope this has inspired you for this year’s tablescape and entryway greeting.
