First and foremost, Happy New Year!
On this post, I would like to share with you what my 2018 resolutions are. I understand that many of you may not care what they are, but writing them down seems to make me more accountable to follow through.
Every year I make small goals so they are easily attainable and I can feel accomplished. This year I went the extra mile, and made the list a bit more ambitious. I hope this level of ambition doesn’t come back to kick me in the butt, as I can get easily depressed if I don’t accomplish set goals. I am someone that competes with herself daily. Not the healthiest trait of mine, I am aware of it. Reaching for the stars can be fun and rewarding, but can also lead to downheartedness as I will undoubtedly second-guess myself.
We don’t usually eat unhealthy. We rarely eat sugars, fast food or treats. I won’t be changing my eating habits per se, but will try to exercise more. I never seem to find the time to work out, when we have a gym at home. I still have 4 free yoga classes in my desk drawer, along with a facial and a foot massage. I have decided to take better care of my body, so it reflects on my soul. I will attend the 4 free yoga classes, I will book the facial and foot massage, and will probably go back to some sort of dancing class. I did ballet for over 10 years and miss it daily, so I am thinking dance would be a more realistic exercise routine for me. I will definitely drink more water. I need to. This resolution is non-negotiable.
We love to travel as a family. We have been doing it since the kids were little and they love it. Two years ago, we spent 6 weeks in Europe and visited Italy, France, Monaco, Portugal, Spain, Morocco and Gibraltar. Last year, we went back to Italy and Spain, and did a lot of the Caribbean and Bahamas. This year we are aiming for something a bit more exotic: Asia. Neither one of us has ever been there so we are considering visiting Hong Kong, Tokyo and Macau on the same trip. If you have been there and you think this is unrealistic, please let me know now! Ha.
Something new is coming up and I can’t wait to share it with you all. Let’s just say that I am working on a new theme, color scheme, blog name and content. I am beyond excited about this upcoming project. I really think I have found my niche and what will help me to engage with my readers. The content is about something very close to home and we are excited to share it with you soon.
The days are long but the years are short. This couldn’t be more accurate. Some days I want to drown myself in Prosecco, and others I get tears of joy and overwhelming love. Many times, those happen within an hour of each other. Being a parent is a crazy ride and not an easy one, so it’s easy to forget the little moments. One of my 2018 resolutions is to document more of us. To enjoy the little ones even when they are throwing a tantrum. To be able to stop and breathe in when they are testing our sanity. To smile when they wipe their little hands to their shirt, or when they ruin my overly priced make-up, because she wants to look like mommy. I want all of these moments to be collected and stored on the blog, so one day they can look back and say, “Look at us. We had so much fun”.
Their Collection is based upon 40-year heritage of the Elie Tahari fashion brand (which I absolutely love), and brings the vision of accessible luxury and understated chic design to a broader audience offering a compelling price point. Launched in 2005 Tahari draws upon Elie’s sophisticated style with the attention to detail and quality, while appealing to those customers who appreciate both style and value (that’s me!).
